Daylight Savings
In anticipation of Lynn Chen’s semi-sequel “I Will Make You Mine,” check out “Daylight Savings” on one of these online platforms:
“Daylight Savings” rejoins San Francisco musician Goh Nakamura (playing himself) one year after “Surrogate Valentine” left off. Goh finds commercial success in his fledgling career when his song gets licensed in a national TV commercial. With newfound fame, an upcoming national tour, and a decision to settle down in Los Angeles with his long-distance girlfriend Erika (Ayako Fujitani), Goh is devastated when he gets dumped right before the big move.
He reconnects with his old flame Rachel (Lynn Chen), but finds himself drawn toward fellow indie musician Yea-Ming (playing herself). Goh’s cousin Mike (Michael Aki) is a “man with a plan,” but their road trip goes awry and Goh is forced to face his romantic issues on his own.
